These sessions are required for department chairpersons, school directors, and associate deans of non-departmentally organized colleges within the first two years of their appointments; all other administrators are encouraged to attend sessions they would find useful.

It is common that challenging situations are either previously known or discovered early in the tenure of a chair/director.   While they require attention and solutions, it is optimal to solve problems in a context of moving the unit forward in substantial, positive ways.  This workshop will offer perspective from experienced administrators in this process.
