Michigan State University named Brightspace by Desire2Learn as its centrally supported Learning Management System in July 2012. Since then, Brightspace (generally shortened to D2L here on campus) provides the platform and tools for online and web enhanced student experiences. In this session, you’ll get a quick overview of this powerful platform, but more importantly you’ll meet a team of academic technology support folks who can help you as you learn to leverage it and other MSU-provided digital tools in your teaching. and get connected to the helpful tips, free consultation services, and more that MSU offers you as an instructor.
D2L tools allow access to course materials, collaboration, submission of assignments, online testing, grades, and other resources from a single interface. D2L is available to all MSU students and faculty at https://d2l.msu.edu. This session will also provide a demo of a new accessibility tool at MSU called Spartan Ally, which integrates with D2L directly and seamlessly helps you make your course content more accessible to students of all abilities. We look forward to welcoming you to MSU, and supporting you in your adventures in teaching and learning with technology!
